Alyssa Hendry - Women's Rowing - Virginia Cavaliers

Alyssa Hendry is in her first season as Virginia rowing’s Athletic Trainer and also serves as the secondary contact for UVA’s swimming and diving program. She is responsible for assisting with the overall daily healthcare of UVA student-athletes, including prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for injuries and illnesses.

Hendry is a two-time graduate from Washington State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine in 2021 and master’s degree in Athletic Training in 2022. As graduate student, she served as a Student Athletic Trainer for the Cougars’ track & field and cross country teams. As an undergraduate student, Hendry provided medical coverage for WSU’s football, women’s basketball, rowing, volleyball and women’s soccer programs.

Hendry currently holds certifications in blood flow restriction, instrumented assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), mental health first aid, American Heart Association lifesaver CPR & first aid and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA).

A native of Tustin, California, Hendry enjoys cooking, exercising and spending time at the beach. She currently resides in Charlottesville.
