Katie Rudy

Katie Rudy is UVA’s Director of Event Presentation and Fan Engagement. She joined the Virginia athletics department in 2014 as the assistant director of marketing and promotions.

She spent the previous year working as an intern at The Walt Disney Company in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. She facilitated research, proposals and meetings in conjunction with the Alliance Development team to secure official sponsors of the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, presenting and cornerstone partners of runDisney, and broader alliance partners of The Walt Disney Company. She also assisted with the execution of various Disney Sports events at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

She earned her undergraduate degrees in public relations and marketing from Penn State in 2012. She obtained her master’s degree in sports venue and event management from Syracuse in 2013.

Rudy’s background in athletics includes working for Steiner Sports Marketing and Memorabilia, the Penn State athletics marketing department, Learfield Communications, Market Street Sports Group and Target Media.
