Kelly Martin has been an assistant athletic trainer at Virginia since 2018, where she works with the softball team. Martin is responsible for the overall daily health care of UVA student-athletes, including prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for injuries and illnesses.Martin received her masters from Virginia in 2017. While at Virginia, she worked with the softball, women’s golf, and track and field teams

Martin returned to Virginia after one year at North Carolina-Asheville, where she worked with the volleyball, women’s basketball, and men’s tennis teams. Martin received her bachelors degree from James Madison in 2016. While at JMU, Martin served as an athletic trainer for the Dukes field hockey, cheerleading, and women’s soccer teams, as well as serving as an athletic trainer for Stuart’s Draft High School.

Martin is also a member of NATA and VATA, while also being involved in a variety of research projects during her time at UVA and JMU.
