Nicole Andriani joined the Virginia athletics department in February 2023.

Prior to coming to UVA, Andriani worked as an intern in the compliance offices at Villanova and Frostburg State. She also served as Frostburg State’s assistant field hockey coach for two years.

Andriani played field hockey at Montclair State. As a student-athlete, she was a four-year member and two-year starter at goalkeeper for Montclair State’s nationally-ranked field hockey team. She helped the Red Hawks to the NCAA Tournament two times and she garnered NFHCA All-American honors as a both a junior and senior. She was a two-time All-Region honoree, named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Goalkeeper of the year as a senior and was a four-time NJAC Defensive Player of the Week. She ranked third in the nation in save percentage (.861) as a senior.

Off the field, she was a four-time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction, Google Cloud Academic All-America as a senior and boasted MSU’s highest female athlete GPA as a senior as well.

Andriani graduated from Montclair State in 2020 with her bachelors degree in exercise science. She earned a master’s degree in recreation, parks & sports management from Frostburg State in 2022.
