Tyler Brain

Tyler Brain joined the Virginia athletic communications staff in September 2024. He is the primary contact for Virginia’s volleyball and baseball teams.

Brain came to Charlottesville after a two-year stint at Samford University in Birmingham where he served as primary media contact for the Bulldog football and softball teams. During his time in Birmingham, Brain also aided in the publicity of all 15 Bulldog sports.

Before his role with Samford, Brain spent four years at Florida International University in Miami serving as the primary media contact for the Panther baseball team while being heavily involved with promotional efforts for the Panther football program.

A native of Decatur, Ala., Brain graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in communication.
