Tyler Spicer
Tyler Spicer joined the UVA athletics department in 2024 as a seasonal athletic trainer working with the Virginia baseball team. He is responsible for assisting with the daily healthcare of UVA student-athletes, primarily baseball, including prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses.
Spicer graduated with his bachelor’s in athletic training from Central Connecticut State University in 2021. Upon graduation, he spent the next three years at Washington-Liberty High School in Arlington, VA. In the summer of 2023, he worked in the Cape Cod Baseball League for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks.
Spicer is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and holds certifications as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers & AED.
A Virginia native, he enjoys golfing, going on runs and exploring new places with friends.
