CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia Announced updated guidance on the mask policy and public health policies on grounds. In response to the increased risk of viral transmission at large indoor events, all people who attend a ticketed event at John Paul Jones Arena (JPJ) will continue to require proof of vaccination, or of a negative COVID-19 test before entering the venue.

JPJ Health and Safety Protocols

Virginia Athletics has reinstated all features of the Fans First Ticket program for both Men’s and Women’s Basketball for the 2021-2022 season. This program provides flexibility, safety, and assurances to fans.

Ticket and Parking Guarantee
If games are postponed or cancelled, fans who have purchased tickets and/or reserved parking from the Virginia Athletics Ticket office or VAF may choose from these options:

The Fans First Ticket program includes the following components:

Game Postponement
The ACC will attempt to reschedule all games that are postponed for COVID related reasons to a later date. Any tickets held for the game will be automatically valid for the new game date. Refunds/donations will not be offered for rescheduled games.

Game Cancellation
Games that are cancelled will not be rescheduled for a later date. Fans who have purchased single game tickets through the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office or VAF will receive an automatic refund within 10 business days of the cancellation. Fans who have obtained tickets through other sources should contact the original ticket seller regarding their purchase.

Season Ticket Holders will receive the below options at the end of the season for the pro-rated value of their single game ticket and parking purchase.

  • Donate
    • Basketball Operational Budget– Donate your ticket and parking purchase to the Men’s or Women’s Basketball operational budget via the Virginia Athletics Foundation (VAF) Sport Enhancement Fund.
    • Athletics Master Plan– Donate your ticket purchase to the Virginia Athletics facilities Master Plan.
  • Refund– Receive a refund for the total value of your purchase
