CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 52 University of Virginia women’s tennis team defeated No. 51 Princeton, 5-2, Saturday afternoon (Feb. 10) at Jadwin Gym on the campus of Princeton University in Princeton, N.J. The win boosts Virginia’s overall record to 1-1 after the Cavaliers dropped their first match of the season to Old Dominion on Wednesday (Feb. 7), 4-3.

UVa’s doubles teams got the `Hoos off to a fast start, sweeping all three of their matches and capturing the lone doubles point. Virginia then went on to win four of the six singles matches to capture the 5-2 win.

Virginia returns to action tomorrow against Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, before returning to Charlottesville for a February 17 match against Dartmouth.
