CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia softball team will finish its games at East Carolina and North Carolina on Thursday, April 12 and Friday, April 13, respectively. The East Carolina game will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and the North Carolina contest will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday.

The Cavaliers’ game against East Carolina, which began on April 1, will be resumed in the bottom of the fourth inning with Virginia leading 2-0. The Pirates have a pair of runners on base with two outs. The game was suspended because of heavy rain and thunderstorms. Virginia won the first game of the Southern Atlantic Softball Alliance doubleheader 2-1.

UVa’s game against North Carolina was halted after six innings because of rain on March 31. The game will be picked up in the top of the seventh inning with no score. The Tar Heels won the opener of the Atlantic Coast Conference doubleheader 2-1 in nine innings.

Virginia stands at 37-11 on the season and 0-1 in the ACC. UVa is also 1-1 in the SASA.

After finishing the two halted games, the Cavaliers will play an ACC doubleheader against Georgia Tech on Saturday, April 14 at The Park in Charlottesville. The first game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
