Men's Lacrosse Ranked Fifth in Preseason Poll

Charlottesville, Va. – The University of Virginia men’s lacrosse team is ranked fifth in the Face-Off Yearbook preseason Top 25 coaches poll. Among the Cavaliers’ 11 regular-season games are nine against teams ranked in the top-25 and another against a team receiving votes but not ranked in the top-25.
Three Cavaliers were named first-team Face-Off yearbook preseason All-Americans-attack Conor Gill, defenseman Mark Koontz and midfielder Chris Rotelli. Goalie Tillman Johnson, the ACC’s Rookie of the Year last spring, was named to the preseason second-team, while defenseman Brett Hughes was named honorable mention.
The Cavaliers finished last season ranked 11th in the STX/USILA coaches poll with a 7-7 overall record.
