A Cancer Fighting Fund Raising Picnic for students, student athletes, coaches, staff and the community.

At LOWER NAMELESS FIELD — the Field behind Mem Gym and the Tennis Courts.

TICKETS ARE $5 EACH.PROCEEDS GO TO:

Half will support Emily Egge in a Century Ride for the American Leukemia Foundation. Emily graduated two years back, was a UVA rower, SAM and SAM Council member and will do a bike ride to raise money. She is now an assistant rowing coach at U of Louisville.

Half will support The Jennifer Fund of the UVa Hospital’s Pediatric cancer Unit which buys the kind of things that the hospital can’t buy, e.g. games, toys, toiletries that families of pediatric cancer patients and the patients themselves may need to help them deal with their ordeal,. The young woman for whom the Fund is named, a former cancer patient who has survived it, will be there with her family.
