BERLIN, GERMANY – University of Virginia fourth-year All-American swimmer Mirjana Bosevska (Skopje, Macedonia/Trinity Prep) recently completed competition in the 2002 European Swimming Championships, which were held July 29 through August 4. Bosevska competed in four events and earned a pair of top eight finishes.

Bosevska, who was competing for Macedonia, turned in her best finish in the 400-meter individual medley with a time of 4:46.42 to take fourth place. In the prelims, she turned in the fifth fastest time at 4:47.42. Bosevska was also eighth in the 200-meter individual medley in a time of 2:16.80. Her time of 2:16.99 was fourth fastest in the heats and she qualified for the finals of the 200 I.M. by placing seventh in the semifinals in 2:16.09. The 2002 ACC Swimmer of the Year was also 15th in the 200-meter butterfly (2:15.77) and 16th in the 800-meter freestyle (8:52.05).
