Virginia's Emily White Named ACC Field Hockey Player of the Week

Virginia keeper Emily White (Finksburg, Md./Westminster) has been honored as the ACC Field Hockey Player of the Week after helping the team to a pair of shutout victories over the weekend. White had five saves as the Cavaliers defeated Northwestern 1-0 and then had 12 saves against Southwest Missouri State, a game in which Virginia won 1-0.
White has a 91.3 save percentage and a goals-against average of .628. Her 91.3 save % leads the league and her GAA ranks second in the ACC.
The Cavaliers (3-0) continue their home season on Friday, Sept 13 as they face the Tribe of William & Mary.
