Cavalier Women Take Second at George Washington Invitational

Virginia’s Laura Hodges, Heidi Sondermann, and Jessica Ellis all finished in the top 10 at the George Washington Invitational today, helping the Cavalier women’s B team take second overall at the 5K meet, just behind the B team from #2 Georgetown. Hodges, Sondermann, and Ellis all finished within five seconds of each other to pace the Cavalier effort while Kristen Haughey, Jill Berger, and Julia Siegel finished in a seven-second pack twenty seconds after their teammates. The Cavaliers finished with 52 points, just behind Georgetown’s 30 points and in front of in-state rival James Madison, who took third with 97 points.
