CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – University of Virginia head wrestling coach Lenny Bernstein has announced the wrestling program has rescheduled its non-conference dual match against the James Madison Dukes for Wednesday, January 15 at 7:00 PM. The match was originally for scheduled for Thursday, December 5th at 7:00 PM but was cancelled due to inclement weather in the Harrisonburg and Charlottesville areas.

The Cavaliers are currently preparing to return to tournament action on Friday, December 20th when Virginia travels to Newark, Delaware to compete in the First Annual “Beast of the East” Collegiate Invitational. The event will be hosted by the University of Delaware at the Bob Carpenter Center.

Virginia is one of 16 schools or programs scheduled to compete in the “Beast of the East” Collegiate Invitational. Other teams joining UVa in the tournament field are: Virginia Tech, Duke, Ohio, Buffalo, Princeton, Rider, Bloomsburg, The Citadel, Drexel, Old Dominion, George Mason, Binghamton, Wagner, Delaware State and the UD club program.
