CHARLOTTESVILLE – University of Virginia junior guard Todd Billet (Middletown, N.J.) is the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week after scoring a game-high 24 points in the Cavaliers’ 79-72 victory over the University of North Carolina on January 11 at University Hall. Billet shared the honor with Dahntay Jones of Duke University in voting by a panel of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association (ACSMA).

Billet was 8-15 (53.5 percent) from the field, including 6-11 (54.5 percent) from three-point range, and made both of his free throw attempts in Virginia’s victory over the Tar Heels. He also had two assists, two steals and just one turnover in 36 minutes of playing time in the game.

Billet is averaging 12.8 points a game and leads the ACC in free throw shooting at 93.3 percent (42-45).

Jones averaged 19 points and seven rebounds a game in Duke’s victories over Georgetown and Wake Forest last week.
