CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Cavalier fourth-years Jennifer Tuchband (Millburn, N.J.) and Henriette Williams (Raleigh, N.C.) will participate in this week’s NCAA Individual Championships held at the University of Florida. Tuchband will participate in the 64-player NCAA Singles Championship while Tuchband and Williams will team in the 32-team NCAA Doubles Championship.

The singles championship begins Monday as Tuchband draws No. 9-16 seed Sarah Riske of Vanderbilt in the first round. The singles tournament will play one round of the tournament each of the next six day, culminating the national championship match on Saturday, May 24. The doubles championship begins Tuesday afternoon as Tuchband and Williams draw No. 1 seeded Lauren Barnikow and Erin Burdette of Stanford. The doubles tournament will also play one round a day for the following five days, with the national championship also held on May 24.

Tuchband and Williams helped lead the Cavaliers to a 16-10 record in 2003 as Virginia reached the second round of the NCAA Team Championships last week.
