ABC-TV Takes Six-Day Option for UVa-Georgia Tech Game

GREENSBORO, N.C. – ABC-TV has taken a six-day option and will announce its selection of an ACC game for Nov. 22 on Sunday, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Monday.

The television network will air its ACC game regionally at 3:30 p.m. and will decide between the Virginia-Georgia Tech and the NC State-Maryland games.

If ABC does not select the Virginia game for its telecast, the Cavaliers and Yellow Jackets will kickoff at Noon on Jefferson Pilot Sports.

A final decision with the kickoff time and television network will be announced on Sunday, Nov. 16.

The Virginia Cavaliers (5-4, 3-3 ACC) travel to Maryland (6-3, 3-2) on Thursday, Nov. 13. ESPN will televise the game nationally. at 7:45 p.m.
