Virginia to Host Premier Players in Exhibition on Friday

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s basketball team will host the Premier Players in an exhibition contest at University Hall on Friday, Nov. 14 in a 7:30 p.m. All fans will be admitted FREE to the preseason game.
The Premier Players, under the guidance of head coach Steve Pratt, is a travelling squad of former collegiate players. The squad stands 4-3 in exhibition contests against university teams this month.
Virginia, under the guidance of 27th-year head coach Debbie Ryan, is ranked 24th in the USA Today/ ESPN coaches preseason poll. UVa, which finished 17-14 overall and third in the ACC, returns all five starters from last season.
The Cavaliers open the 2003-04 regular-season with UNC Greensboro on Friday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in University Hall.
