Virginia’s Rachel Marks won the high jump at the Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet, held in Blacksburg, Virginia today. She cleared 1.75m to take top honors. Teammate David Sullivan also medaled in the vertical jumps, taking third in the pole vault with a Virginia season-best 5.06m. A pair of Cavaliers took home second-place finishes as Gemayel Hazard took the silver in the 60m hurdles and Kellen Blassingame was the runner-up in the 400m dash.

Blassingame led a 2-4 finish with his 47.91 while teammate Jason Young finished just behind him with a 48.31. Hazard led a 2-7 finish in the hurdles with his 8.16 while teammate Devin Canaday ran an 8.43. Shadion Buckley finished sixth in the long jump with a 6.38m leap.

Sharon O’Connor finished fourth in the mile with a 4:52.52, just ahead of teammate Janine Ricci, who took seventh with her 5:03.02. Huma Husain took fifth in the 800m with a 2:16.81.
