CHARLOTTESVILLE – The University of Virginia men’s basketball team hosts George Washington University on Wednesday (March 17) at University Hall in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). Game time is 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are $8 for adults, and $4 for youth age 18 and under and UVa students. Seating is general admission.

Tickets can be purchased at the Virginia athletics ticket office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and by telephone until 4:30 p.m. by calling 1-800-542-UVA1 or 434/924-8821. Tickets will be available for purchase at University Hall beginning at 5:00 p.m. and the doors to University Hall are scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m.

“For the convenience of fans, I recommend they purchase tickets in advance,” said Dick Mathias, UVa assistant director of athletics for ticket office management.

The parking lots around University Hall will be open and available on a first come, first served basis. In addition to the lots around University Hall, the Emmet/Ivy garage is available for event parking beginning at 4:30 p.m. at a cost of $5. Parking is also available at no charge in the North Grounds area near the Law School and The Park. A shuttle will run from the North Grounds parking areas before the game beginning at 4:30 p.m. The shuttle will also run after the game.
