CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia men’s tennis team moved up to No. 10 in this week’s Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings, marking the first top ten ranking in the program’s history. The ranking breaks the Cavaliers’ previous record of No. 12, set two weeks ago.

Virginia (19-3, 7-1 ACC) is coming off the biggest win in school history, a 4-3 upset of then No. 5 Duke on Sunday. The win was the first for the Cavaliers over a top-five foe and gave them a share of their first ever ACC regular season title.

The Cavaliers return to action this weekend as the No. 2 seed for the ACC Tournament at the Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center in Raleigh, N.C. Virginia will play No. 7 seed Florida State at 3:00 p.m. Friday in quarterfinal action.
