CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 6 seed Virginia men’s tennis team will face No. 22 Ohio State in the NCAA Championship Round of 16 on Saturday, May 22 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla.

UVa and OSU will square off at 9 a.m. CDT (10 a.m. EDT). Live scoring will be available through the University of Tulsa website at http://tulsahurricane.collegesports.com. The national tennis championship runs from May 22 through May 26. Individual championships will be played May 27-31.

Advancing to their first-ever national championship appearance, the Cavaliers (24-3) defeated American, 4-0, and Mississippi State, 4-2, to earn a berth into the Sweet 16. Ranked No. 10 by the ITA after winning its first ACC Championship, UVa is making its sixth NCAA appearance and its first since 2001.

The Buckeyes (25-4) beat South Carolina, 4-0, and upset No. 11 seed North Carolina, 4-3, to advance.

The winner of the third round match will advance to the national quarterfinals against the winner of the match between No. 3 seed Baylor and No. 19 Rice on Sunday, May 23 at 2 p.m. CDT.
