Virginia Wrestling Prepares To Compete In Cornell's Body Bar Invitational

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia wrestling team will travel to Ithaca, N.Y. to compete in Cornell University’s 2004 Body Bar Invitational on Saturday, November 20th. The event is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM with First Round and Pigtail action, followed by the Quarterfinals at noon. The Semifinals are scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM and the Body Bar Invitational Finals are set to start at 7:00 PM.

The Cavaliers are scheduled to travel to Cornell with 21 members from the team in hopes of returning home with a first place finish in one of the top invitationals in the country. Last season (2003-04), UVa finished fifth at the Body Bar Invitational with 87 points in the team standings.

Virginia (2-1) is coming off a strong performance at the Avalon Duals last weekend (November 13th) at Edinboro University. UVa defeated Appalachian State 25-21 and Findlay 35-6 before falling to #19 Edinboro 26-6.
