CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s basketball team continues its three-game homestand on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. against Richmond at University Hall.

The Cavaliers, under the guidance of head coach Debbie Ryan, stand 3-1 after Tuesday’s 74-47 win over Delaware State. Senior Brandi Teamer leads the Cavaliers with 16.5 points per game and a team-best 9.0 rpg. Senior LaTonya Blue follows with 9.5 ppg and 6.0 rpg, while senior Jocelyn Logan-Friend adds 9.0 ppg and 3.0 bpg.

The Spiders, under the tutelage of third-year head coach Joanne Boyle, stand 2-0 after a 65-45 win at Liberty on Nov. 23. Guard Saona Chapman led Richmond with 24 points.

Virginia holds a 9-1 series edge over Richmond. In their last meeting on Nov. 19, 2001, the Spiders won its only contest in the series, 77-72 in Richmond.
