CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Virginia men’s and women’s tennis teams will have their first doubleheader of the season on Saturday, as both will be in action at the Boar’s Head Sports Club. The No. 10 ranked Cavalier men’s team hosts No. 22 Tennessee at 2:00 p.m. and the No. 52 ranked Cavalier women’s team hosts Old Dominion at 7:00 p.m.

The men’s team is off to a 2-0 start after 7-0 wins over No. 59 Old Dominion and No. 44 Minnesota last week. The Cavaliers are led by five players who are currently ranked in the ITA singles rankings, including No. 19 Doug Stewart (Malibu, Calif.), the reigning ACC Player of the Week. Somdev Devvarman (Chennai, India), Rylan Rizza (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.), Marko Miklo (Bratislava, Slovakia), and Treat Huey (Alexandria, Va.) also are currently ranked by the ITA.

The women’s team is 1-1 on the season and Saturday’s match is it’s home opener. The Cavaliers opened the season with a trip to Nashville, Tenn., where they defeated Michigan State and fell to No. 6 Vanderbilt. Virginia is led by first-year Diana Srebrovic (Oakville, Ont.), currently ranked No. 67 in the ITA singles rankings.

All home matches for both men’s and women’s tennis at the Boar’s Head Sports Club and Snyder Tennis Center have free admission.
