ATLANTA, Ga. – University of Virginia third-year Andrew Barber (Vienna, Va./Marshall) placed 23rd in the one-meter diving competition Friday (March 11) at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Ga.

Barber, who is making his third consecutive appearance at the NCAA Zone B Diving Regionals, scored 274.05 points in the preliminaries to finish 23rd on the one-meter board. He was 18th in the one-meter competition in 2004.

Barber will compete on the three-meter board on Saturday (March 12) beginning at 3:45 p.m.

The NCAA Zone B Diving Championship features the top divers from across the southeast. The top finishers from each of the five zone meets across the country will earn the right to participate in the 2005 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
