CHARLOTTESVILLE – The second ranked Virginia men’s tennis team concludes its regular season Friday as it hosts No. 27 Clemson at the Snyder Tennis Center beginning at 2:00 p.m. The Cavaliers (20-2, 8-0 ACC) are looking to secure their first ever undefeated ACC regular season with a win.

The Cavaliers enter the match on a nine-match win streak, tying the school record. Last weekend, the Cavaliers won at No. 5 Duke and No. 40 North Carolina to run their ACC win streak to ten matches, also a school record. Clemson (23-8, 5-3) is coming off a 4-3 win at Virginia Tech on Monday. In the last meeting between the schools, Virginia topped Clemson 4-3 in the championship match of the 2004 ACC Tournament, as the Cavaliers won their first ever ACC title.

Five singles players and two doubles teams that are ranked in the current ITA rankings highlight the Cavaliers’ lineup. Doug Stewart (#11), Somdev Devvarman (#17), Darrin Cohen (#50), Rylan Rizza (#59), and Marko Miklo (#125) are ranked in singles, and Rizza and Nick Meythaler (#32) and Devvarman and Treat Huey (#60) are ranked in doubles.

Admission is free to the match and there will be free pizza for fans between doubles and singles play.
