Virginia (26-13, 6-10) hosts #4 Georgia Tech (30-7, 16-2) in a crucial ACC series on April 22-24. The Cavaliers and Yellow Jackets are scheduled to play on Friday, April 22nd at 7:00 PM; Saturday, April 23rd at 7:00 PM and Sunday, April 24th at 1:00 PM.

Virginia trails the all-time series with Georgia Tech in baseball 30-56-1. However, the Cavaliers have won the last three games in the series after UVa swept Georgia Tech three games to none (4-3, 2-1, 8-5) in last year’s ACC series on March 12-14, 2004 in Atlanta, Ga. at Russ Chandler Stadium. The Cavaliers’ three-game ACC sweep over the Yellow Jackets marked the first time Virginia swept Georgia Tech in a three-game ACC series in the history of the UVa baseball program.

The Yellow Jackets enter this weekend’s series with the Cavaliers atop the ACC standings and have won 34 of their last 38 conference games since falling to Virginia last season.
