Special Bowl Edition of Cavalier Sports Weekly to Air this Week

The second season of the award-winning Cavalier Sports Weekly, presented by the Virginia Lottery, continues Sunday, December 18th with a special Music City Bowl preview show. The fast-paced, half-hour program provides comprehensive coverage of Virginia Athletics. Cavalier Sports Weekly can be seen regionally each Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet. The program will also air on the new ABC, CBS and FOX affiliates in Charlottesville, on FOX 35 Richmond and on WSET-TV ABC 13 in Danville, Lynchburg, and Roanoke.

Senior center Brian Barthelmes will host the show. The program will feature a comprehensive analysis of the Music City Bowl match-up between UVA and Minnesota. The show will also pay tribute to the football team’s graduating fourth and fifth-year players and will count down the team’s picks for Play of the Year. Highlights from the men’s basketball team’s game against Gonzaga will also be included.
