Virginia's Sean Singletary Named ACC Player Of The Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE – University of Virginia sophomore Sean Singletary is the Atlantic Coast Conference men’s basketball Player of the Week for his play in Virginia’s 80-69 loss at 10th-ranked Gonzaga University on December 17.

The 6-0 point guard from Philadelphia, Pa., scored a career-high 35 points and tied his career high with six steals. He also had six rebounds and four assists in 39 minutes of action.

Singletary was 11-20 from the field, including 4-9 from three-point range, and he was 9-14 from the free throw line against Gonzaga.

Duke’s Greg Paulus was named the ACC men’s basketball Rookie of the Week.
