Cavalier Sports Weekly to Air at Special Time this Week

The second season of the award-winning Cavalier Sports Weekly, presented by the Virginia Lottery, continues Sunday, February 5th. The fast-paced, half-hour program provides comprehensive coverage of Virginia Athletics. Cavalier Sports Weekly can be seen regionally this Sunday at the special time of 11:30 a.m. (this week only) on Comcast SportsNet. The program will air at its normal times on the new ABC, CBS and FOX affiliates in Charlottesville, on FOX 35 Richmond and on WSET-TV ABC 13 in Danville, Lynchburg, and Roanoke.
Senior swimmer Brielle White will host the show. The program will feature highlights, analysis, and exclusive footage from the men’s basketball team’s games against NC State and Wake Forest. The show will spotlight senior diver and aspiring photographer Eric Kelley, look at the football team’s 2006 recruiting class, and check in with the progress of the John Paul Jones Arena construction. Also included is a trip back to 2001 for men’s basketball’s win at U-Hall over eventual national champion Duke, as well as highlights from the women’s basketball team’s game against Virginia Tech.
