Mac McDonald, Director of Broadcasting for Cavalier Sports Marketing, announced the plans for two special call-in shows sandwiched around the Virginia Sports Network’s coverage of the 53rd annual men’s ACC basketball Tournament.

“We have access to some of the great basketball minds in the college game when we go to Greensboro,” McDonald said. “That’s why we feel it is important to provide our listeners informative and entertaining programming. We have planned two terrific shows.”

Wednesday Night, March 8th, the Network will air a special edition of Cavalier Call-In with guests, former Georgia Tech coach Bobby Cremins and ACC game official Duke Edsall. Airtime is 7:06 pm.

On Sunday, prior to the ACC Tournament championship game, the Virginia Sports Network will broadcast a one hour, NCAA Tournament pre bracket special giving listeners an advance look at the 2006 field of 65. Sports Columnist David Teel of the Newport News Daily Press and former Wake Forest assistant basketball coach Mark Freidinger will team with the network crew for an in depth look at this years field.
