Williamsburg, VA – The Virginia women’s golf squad’s “Blue Team” is in third place after the opening 18 holes of play at the William and Mary Invitational. The Cavaliers shot 27-over 318 led by Kristin Simpson’s 5-over 77.

Simpson is in seventh place overall, five shots behind Toledo’s Tammy Clelland, the only player to shoot even par 72 during the windy, rainy conditions.
