Cavalier Sports Weekly to Air this Week

The second season of the award-winning Cavalier Sports Weekly, presented by the Virginia Lottery, continues Sunday, April 2nd. The fast-paced, half-hour program provides comprehensive coverage of Virginia Athletics. Cavalier Sports Weekly can be seen regionally each Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet. The program will also air on the new ABC, CBS and FOX affiliates in Charlottesville, on FOX 35 Richmond and on WSET-TV ABC 13 in Danville, Lynchburg, and Roanoke.

Sophomore defensive end Chris Long will host the show. The program will feature highlights and analysis from baseball’s series against NC State and the #1 men’s lacrosse team’s game against Maryland. The show will spotlight lacrosse player Ben Rubeor and his battle with a career-threatening arm injury. Also included is coverage of Virginia football’s spring practice and women’s lacrosse highlights.
