Charlottesville, VA – With capacity crowds expected for this week’s baseball series against ACC rival Virginia Tech, Cavalier baseball fans are urged to purchase their tickets in advance for the three-game slate. The final regular-season home series is scheduled for Thursday through Saturday at Davenport Field. Thursday and Friday games begin at 7 p.m. and Saturday’s regular-season finale gets underway at 2 p.m.

Less than 1,000 general admission tickets remain for the Friday and Saturday games. Tickets are priced at $6 for adults and $4 for youth (18 and under), senior and UVa faculty/staff and can be purchased in person at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., by calling the Ticket Office at 800-542-UVA1 (8821) or 434-924-8821 or ordered online at www.VirginiaSports.com.

Last weekend the sixth-ranked Cavaliers (41-11) drew a three-day record of 7,367 fans to see Virginia take two of three games from top-ranked North Carolina. The Friday and Saturday games drew capacity crowds of 2,624.

The Cavaliers enter the Virginia Tech series 18-9 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and are in second place in the ACC’s Coastal Division, one game behind North Carolina. Virginia has won 17 of its last 20 games and has a stellar 28-3 record at Davenport Field.
