Virginia’s Andrew Dumm, the reigning ACC Champion in the Outdoor 5K and a member of the men’s cross country team that won the ACC title, was named to the NCAA Division I National All-Academic team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The organization honors individuals and teams for their academic and athletic accomplishments during the indoor and outdoor track seasons.

Dumm, a Foreign Affairs major, finished fifth at the ACC XC Championships, earning All-ACC honors as the Virginia men won the 2005 ACC Championships. Two weeks later he earned All-Regional honors, finishing in 18th place finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional as the Cavaliers took home second, earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. On the track, Dumm qualified for the NCAA East Regional meet with a 14:07.04 in the 5K, becoming the fifth fastest performer in school history. He also earned All-Conference honors in the 10K, taking third behind teammate Ryan Foster.
