CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Sean Singletary, a junior guard on the 2006-07 Virginia men’s basketball team, is a third-team preseason All-America selection by Street & Smith’s College Basketball 2006-07 Yearbook.

Singletary, who is from Philadelphia, Pa., averaged 17.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists a game, and earned first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors for the 2005-06 season. He is the first Virginia men’s basketball player to earn first-team All-ACC honors since Bryant Stith in 1992.

Singletary ranked third in the ACC in free throw percentage (.845, 125-148), fifth in scoring, fifth in steals (54, 1.86 spg.), sixth in assists and eighth in minutes played (982, 33.86 mpg.) last season.
