Jonesborough, TN – The Virginia men’s golf team was in 12th place when play was suspended due to darkness during the second round at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at The Ridges. All but one UVa golfer had completed their second round when play was halted.

After shooting 21-over 309 during the morning round, the Cavaliers second-round score stood at 5-over with Conrad Von Borsig waiting to complete the final hole. Scoring was high for all teams in the first round due to the windy conditions that included gusts up to 25 miles per hour. Due to morning frost, play was delayed until 10 a.m.

East Tennessee State held a two-shot lead on the 15-team field when play was suspended. The host school stood at 7-over while North Carolina was in second place at 9-over.

UVa was led by Greg Carlin who was 12th overall at 147. He shot 76 in the morning and 1-under 71 in the afternoon. Andrea Signor shot 77 in the first round while Von Borsig and Daniel Kefale completed play at 78. Eamonn McLoughlin carded a 79 in the morning round.
