Charlottesville, VA – Single-game tickets for the Virginia men’s basketball team’s 2006-07 season go on sale Monday (Oct. 30) at 9 a.m. at virginiasports.com and at the UVa athletics ticket office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium.

A limited number of tickets are available for each of the Cavaliers’ home games during the upcoming season. Tickets for the team’s first game in the John Paul Jones Arena against Arizona on Nov. 12 are $35, while tickets for the Duke (Feb. 1) and Maryland (Jan. 16) games are $30. Ticket prices for Virginia’s other games against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents are $25, while tickets are priced at either $25 or $15 for the Cavaliers’ other non-conference games.

Season tickets as well as six-game and five-game ticket packages remain on sale.

“We want the first game in the John Paul Jones Arena against Arizona to be sold out and to set the tone for the rest of the season,” said Virginia head coach Dave Leitao. “We need our fans to be here for theArizona game and for games throughout the season so our arena is recognized as having one of the best game atmospheres in the country.”

Virginia fans will notice an enhanced game day experience at the John Paul Jones Arena.

“We have a number of exciting enhancements planned this season,” said Todd Goodale, associate director of athletics for marketing and video services at UVa. “We will use music, video, special effects and include some surprises that will add to our fans overall enjoyment of their basketball experience.”

In addition to ordering online at virginiasports.com, Virginia basketball tickets can be ordered by calling the UVa athletics ticket office at 1-800-542-8821 or 434/924-8821. Fans can also stop at the athletics ticket office on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
