CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –
Members of the University of Virginia Softball team took some time on Halloween to give back to the Charlottesville community by volunteering at Burley Elementary School’s Family Fun Night on Oct. 31. The event was sponsored by Fresh Fire Church.
“Spending some time with the children who attend Burley Elementary School at their Halloween party was a great way to give back to the community,” said head coach Karen Johns. “Our team probably had as much fun as the children did.”
The softball team, like all of UVa’s varsity teams, takes part in community service projects several times a year.
