Attention Virginia Softball Fans Traveling To Palm Springs

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – University of Virginia softball fans that are planning on attending the 2007 Palms Springs Classic in Palm Springs, Calif., Feb. 22-25, are encouraged to buy tickets to the tournament from the Virginia coaching staff. Each school competing in the tournament has been asked to sell 50 tournament passes at a cost of $50 each.

Anyone interested in purchasing a tournament pass should contact UVa head coach Karen Johns at 434 982-5736 or via e-mail at kj5j@virginia.edu. Coach Johns will have further details.

Virginia is slated to play six games in the tournament from Feb. 22-24. UVa opens the tournament with games against UNLV and BYU on the Feb. 22. On Feb. 23, the Cavaliers play Cal-State Fullerton and Cal-Poly San Luis Obispo. Virginia wraps up the tourney on Feb. 24 against Fresno State and Oregon State.
