Emily Harrison earned All-American honors in 2006 on the cross country trails, leading the Cavaliers to a 14th-place finish at the NCAA Championships. She has started out 2007 in fine form, winning the opening meet of the season by 50 seconds, helping UVA capture the team title. She was named the ACC Performer of the Week for her efforts. She took time out of her busy running schedule to sit down with Virginiasports.com to share about herself.

Favorite place to run (and why): Around the reservoir because it is very quiet with only you and the trail.

Most memorable race: ACC’s first year

Race you would like to run: 10k in the Olympic Trials; marathon

Favorite Olympic event (non-athletics):Triathlon

Favorite book: Once a Runner

Music I listen to when I run: I don’t listen to music when I run, but if I did it would be classic rock.

Favorite pre-race meal: Either a chicken dish or chicken alfredo

If I didn’t run, I would be doing….. The possibilities are endless.
