CHARLOTTESVILLE — The fourth ranked Virginia men’s soccer team hits the road this week as it visits Clemson Friday night. Game time at Historic Riggs Field is 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live online by ACC Select.

Virginia enters the match with a 7-1-2 overall record, including a 1-0-2 mark in the ACC. The Cavaliers recorded their first ACC win of the season last weekend, downing North Carolina 2-1 at Klckner Stadium. Yannick Reyering (Mettingen, Germany) and Chris Tierney (Wellesley, Mass.) scored for Virginia, which ran its unbeaten streak to seven games (5-0-2). Reyering leads the conference in goals this season with eight.

Clemson is looking for its first conference win, after starting the season 4-7-1 overall and 0-4-0 in the ACC. The Tigers are coming off a 2-1 double overtime loss at UNC Asheville on Tuesday. Tate Parrish leads the team in scoring with five goals and six assists on the year.

The Cavaliers lead the all-time series 24-19-5, including a 10-9-2 edge at Clemson. Virginia won both meetings last season, 1-0 in the regular season meeting at Klckner Stadium and 2-0 in the ACC Quarterfinals in Germantown, Md.

Virginia will return home after the match to begin a five-game homestand against Florida Atlantic on Tuesday. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
