Today’s attendance was 5,559, the second-highest total of the year for UVa and third-largest for women’s basketball in John Paul Jones history.

North Carolina has won 11-straight games in the series and improved to 42-31 against UVa all-time.

UVa is 25-9 all-time in John Paul Jones Arena, including a 12-3 mark this season.

Fourth-year Sharne Zoll finished with six assists and now has 713. Zoll needs 16 more helpers to tie former Cavalier Dawn Staley’s all-time mark of 729.

Aisha Mohammed barely missed a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Lyndra Littles tallied a game-high 22 points, her second-straight 20+ performance.

The Cavaliers last four losses have come to teams ranked in the top four in the nation (No. 1 Connecticut, No. 4 Maryland twice, No. 3 North Carolina).
