Cavaliers Return to Links at River Landing Intercollegiate

Charlottesville, VA — The Virginia men’s golf team returns to action Friday at NC State’s River Landing Intercollegiate in Wallace, N.C. The tournament runs through Sunday. The tournament will be held on the par 72, 6,942 yard, River Course. Live scoring will be available on golfstat.com. This year’s field features 15 teams, with five currently ranking in the top-50.
Virginia’s lineup includes Kyle Stough, Will Collins, Amory Davis, Greg Carlin and Steven Rojas.
The field includes No. 7 Florida State, No. 16 Duke, No. 22 Wake Forest, North Carolina, Memphis, East Carolina, Maryland, Tulsa, Houston, Kansas, Liberty, Rice and Navy
The Intercollegiate has been held in the Triangle area for about 17 years, but, this year and in 2009, it is being played on the River Course at River Landing in Wallace. This year, the teams play 18 holes Friday, Saturday and Sunday with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. on the 1st and 10th tees.
The Cavaliers have not competed since finishing 14th at National Invitational on March 25. Rojas currently leads the team with a 73.17 stroke average. The River Landing Intercollegiate is UVa’s final tune-up before competing at the ACC Championships April 18-20.
