CHARLOTTESVILLE Student guest tickets for all seven 2008 Virginia home football games go on sale Aug. 15.

Student guest tickets for home football games may be purchased by full-time undergraduate and graduate University students enrolled in the fall 2009 semester that have paid the full student activities fee. Student guest tickets have been offered for many years to UVa students who wish to attend games with a guest or guests.

Capacity for students and student guest ticket holders is 13,000 for all UVa home games.

UVa students can purchase student guest tickets online at UVaShots.com beginning Aug. 15 at 9 a.m. Student guest tickets are also available for purchase by UVa students at the Virginia athletics ticket office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium.

Student guest tickets are $50 each for the Southern California game (Aug. 30); $42 each for the games against Maryland (Oct. 4), North Carolina (Oct. 18), Miami (Nov. 1), and Clemson (Nov. 22); $35 each for the game versus East Carolina (Oct. 11); and $16 each for the Cavaliers’ game against Richmond (Sept. 6). Students may purchase up to four (4) tickets each while supplies last for the Southern California game. There is no limit on the number of tickets UVa students may purchase for the other six (6) 2008 home football games. There is a $5 service fee for each ticket purchased online, but no service fee for student guest tickets purchased at the Virginia athletics ticket office in Bryant Hall.

A capacity crowd is expected for Virginia’s first home game of the 2008 season against Southern California. With the exception of student guest tickets, the game is sold out. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. and all fans, including students, are encouraged to arrive early. Gates open two hours prior to kickoff at 1:30 p.m.

UVa students enter Scott Stadium by presenting their valid student ID at the north gate. Student guest ticket holders may also enter the stadium at the north gate.

Seating for students and student guest ticket holders is general admission in sections 101-105, 501503 and on the hill at the north end of the stadium.

Once 13,000 students and student guest ticket holders have entered Scott Stadium, no additional students will be admitted to the stadium. Student guest ticket holders may enter Scott Stadium at any time after the gates open.

More information on student admittance and ticketing policies and procedures is available at UVaShots.com.
