Charlottesville, VA Virginia redshirt freshman tight end Andrew Devlin (Pittsburgh, Pa.) was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference’s Academic Football Team today. The 40-player squad was announced by ACC commissioner John Swofford.

To be eligible for consideration, a player must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career. All 12 ACC schools were represented by at least one selection on the team.

Devlin appeared in all 12 games in 2008, starting twice. He had three receptions for 22 yards, including a pair of catches for 16 yards in UVa’s win against East Carolina.
