Charlottesville, VA – The 26th-ranked Virginia men’s golf team will cap off its fall season this weekend at the UNCG Bridgestone Golf Collegiate held at the Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. The 15-team field includes a dozen teams ranked in the current Golfstat top-100 including No. 12 Tennessee, No. 16 Augusta State, No. 21 Duke and No. 30 Virginia Tech.

The remainder of the field includes Georgia Tech, Michigan, Minnesota State, Minnesota, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Purdue, Toledo, UNCG and VCU.

Two rounds of the tournament will be played on Saturday with teams starting in a shotgun format at 8:30 a.m. Sunday’s final round will have tee times going off of Nos. 1 and 10 starting at 8:30 a.m.

Virginia enters the tournament having placed in the top four of its previous four tournaments this fall. The Cavaliers have an overall head-to-head record of 47-8 in those events.

Leading Virginia has been sophomore Ben Kohles, who has finished in the top-10 of all four tournaments this season. He tops the team with a 70.58 stroke average and has shot par or better in nine of 12 rounds this year. Kohles is ranked No. 41 in the latest Golfstat Cup standings and stands No. 31 in the Golfweek ratings.

Joining Kohles for the tournament will be classmate Bruce Woodall, juniors Amory Davis and Will Collins and senior Kyle Stough – the same lineup UVa has fielded for its last two tournaments.
