CHARLOTTESVILLE – Junior goalkeeper Diego Restrepo (West Palm Beach, Fla.) was named the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Co-Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday (Nov. 3). Restrepo posted his seventh shutout of the year at No. 6 Maryland en route to the honor.

Restrepo, in his first season with the Cavaliers after transferring from South Florida, has been impressive in his 14 starts. He has allowed seven goals for a 0.45 goals-against average that ranks in the top five nationally.

In a tough road environment at No. 6 Maryland, Restrepo recorded seven saves in the scoreless draw.

This is the first ACC weekly honor of Restrepo’s career. Senior Neil Barlow (Herndon, Va.) was named ACC Player of the Week on Sept. 22.

Virginia hosts American Tuesday night at Klöckner Stadium. Kick-off is 7 p.m.
